Tasks such as re-ordering subscriptions and playlists, renaming playlists, and even subscribing to podcasts, seem much easier on Instacast for Mac than they ever were in the iOS version. One (Minor) Remaining Issue – Feed Refresh Of course, what makes these features so important, is that the results are synced almost instantly to your iOS devices. The one minor remaining issue that I have with the current Instacast ecosystem is feed refreshing in the various apps. ![]() Currently, the refresh mechanism takes approximately 20–40 seconds for my 73 podcast subscriptions. Though that refresh can be annoying when it forces me to wait for that new episode of a given podcast that I know is available, the bigger problem is that this refresh makes the Instacast iOS app unresponsive for about 10–15 seconds when it occurs. Now, iOS 7 will alleviate some of this hassle, with its new background downloading APIs, but I think that does not go far enough. Instead, I hope that Instacast implements a server-side refresh of feeds, similar to the one found in Shifty Jelly’s Pocketcasts. Obviously, if Vemedio had to implement this type of server side processing on its own, it could be a time consuming, labor intensive, and resouce-costly process. I have no idea why they didn’t come up with something like that from the very beginning.Thankfully, David Smith, creator of Feed Wrangler, mentioned in a recent interview on the 15 Minutes with… podcast that he felt Feed Wrangler could be easily integrated into podcasting clients for a feed refreshing back end. So much easier than scrolling or using keys to move up/down in the group list - especially you always have to check which one is first selected before you move up/down to the correct target - it is not always the first person in group. So for me it would be the shortcut R for the Heal and 3 for the 3rd person in the group. I hope they add such functionality at least as option. I know you can bind a key to deactivate the targeting after you clicked sacred ground but is a hassle and distracts a lot. How often I tried to place sacred ground to my mouse position but it placed it somewhere on a person far away from the tank and the tank didn’t have the important sacred ground healing and buffs for a long time. I would also want to have an option to disable targeting for Sacred Ground. This would enable almost instant very easy single target heal. The heal targeting could be so much easier if once you click the single target heal skill you can then use 1-5 keys to select the target. I am surprised using orb/sacred/beacon you ran out of mana… I will need to study that a bit more before I take my group to the Depths.Īlso agree the attractive feature of Light’s Embrace is it is a one skill point wonder & insta cast.Īgain thank you and hopefully others will offer their thoughts on this topic as it is of great interest to many of us still leveling and looking for real world experiences on healing abilities Another downside of Light’s Embrace, especially leveling is its huge mana cost combined with it’s insta cast, leads to over use and draining of mana. I checked it is not always the same position ( #3 or #4) it skips seems to be random, very frustrating.Īs to running out of mana… I found a cheap and simple solution is using a Mana Focus (+regen) potion very helpful. Then later that evening I could heal them fine and it skipped another member of my party. I moved from one spot to another no luck. Last night again I was in a group and my target was right in front of me, no obstructions, and I could not scroll to the target it kept skipping them over and over. ![]() Thank you for your reply the information is helpful.Īgreed the heal lock system is really which is holding me back from wanting to use a direct heal. In the illustration, the left-handed circularly polarized light entering the analyzing filter is transformed by the QWP into linearly polarized light which has its direction of polarization along the transmission axis of the LPF. However, the angle of polarization of the linearly polarized light produced by a QWP depends on the handedness of the circularly polarized light entering the QWP. The QWP always transforms circularly polarized light into linearly polarized light. This can make prolonged viewing uncomfortable as head movement is limited to maintain the 3D effect.Ĭircular polarizer passing left-handed, counter-clockwise circularly polarized lightĪs shown in the figure, the analyzing filters are constructed of a quarter-wave plate (QWP) and a linearly polarized filter (LPF). Linearly polarised glasses require the viewer to keep his or her head level, as tilting of the viewing filters will cause the images of the left and right channels to bleed over to the opposite channel. As each filter only passes light which is similarly polarised and blocks the orthogonally polarized light, each eye only sees one of the projected images, and the 3D effect is achieved. The viewer wears linearly polarized eyeglasses which also contain a pair of orthogonal polarizing filters oriented the same as the projector. To present a stereoscopic motion picture, two images are projected superimposed onto the same screen through orthogonal polarizing filters (Usually at 45 and 135 degrees). Polarized 3D systems, and stereoscopy systems in general, commonly exhibit the Vergence-Accommodation Conflict. Multiple people can view the stereoscopic images at the same time. This is used to produce a three-dimensional effect by projecting the same scene into both eyes, but depicted from slightly different perspectives with different polarizations. The left and right filters have different polarizations, so each eye receives only the image with the matching polarization. The viewer wears low-cost eyeglasses with a polarizing filter for each eye. To present stereoscopic images and films, two images are projected superimposed onto the same screen or display through different polarizing filters. Circularly polarized 3D glasses in front of an LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) tablet with a quarter-wave retarder on top of it the λ/4 plate at 45° produces a definite handedness, which is transmitted by the left filter but blocked by the right filter.Ī polarized 3D system uses polarization glasses to create the illusion of three-dimensional images by restricting the light that reaches each eye (an example of stereoscopy). ![]() ![]() It is also particularly appreciated as a cut flower. Since the show is so ubiquitous, its fandom is not internet-based, although it is so large that it does has a significant online presence. There are many more crazy rabbid-infested minigames to cover, and we'll post more of our impressions as we get closer to the November 18 release date. The music and cartoon-like rabbid wackiness is always a nice touch, especially when your game is interrupted by a commercial break. So far, there seems to be a good variety, and the games are easy to get into, as well as quite enjoyable. You can also give yourself a nice boost by shaking the Wii Remote it will consume your boost gauge, but that can be replenished by skidding through the turns. This one is probably the most exciting of the three because you're actually driving a tractor through a wide course set in the countryside, plowing through haystacks and other racers along the way. Otherwise, these functions are mapped to the buttons on the Wii Remote so you aren't missing out on the action. If you have a Wii Balance Board, you can use it to accelerate and skid on turns by stepping on the right or left side. The third minigame we're covering is Monster Tractors, which is a racing game where you use the Wii Remote to steer-similar to Mario Kart Wii. It's definitely more competitive and more interesting with multiple players, so make sure you grab a friend or three to join you. It will get trickier when lasers come into play, so be careful to avoid them and get to the end of the stage. The jumping part takes a little getting used to, but once you get it down, you can bounce through the level with ease. You use the Wii Remote to jump by flicking it, and the analog stick helps you navigate through the level. If you do somehow manage to get stuck and subsequently squished, you'll respawn in a few seconds then continue on your merry way. The level scrolls to the right, so you don't want to get caught offscreen. If you're playing with friends, you're all onscreen trying to grab as many bonuses as possible. The second minigame is Megaballs, where you play as a bouncy lottery ball, and the goal is to collect as many white balls as you can for points. But it is a fun minigame if you decide to really get into it and boogie. There are a variety of poses that start to repeat after awhile, and the song can feel quite long. You won't fail or get kicked out of the game if you happen to miss a few moves or mess up entirely, but the goal is to get as many points as possible. There are three levels of difficulty to choose from, but all it entails is that there will be more movements onscreen. You'll wave your arms in the air, swing them left or right, and you may even have to smack your butt every once in awhile. This minigame works like a rhythm game where you dutifully follow the stickman on screen while holding the Wii Remote and Nunchuk.
